Why am I running to become Governor of Colorado? Because I believe Colorado's best days are still ahead of us.

I'm Eric Mulder, and I'm a proud US army veteran. Serving in Afghanistan as a chaplain's assistant taught me that America works because people from every background can unite around a common mission. The military is made up of cowboys, city dwellers, lifelong residents, recent transplants, and people of every race, faith, and political belief. Despite our differences, we worked together because the mission came first. I believe Colorado deserves that same spirit of shared purpose.

To meet the challenges ahead, we must change the way government measures success. Programs should be judged by the outcomes they deliver, not the dollars they spend. Government should be held accountable when it falls short and willing to learn from what works. Communities should have the freedom to solve their own challenges because the people closest to those challenges usually understand them best.

Government's job is to create the conditions for success, not stand in its way. The campaign is built on three principles: Affordability, Accountability, and Abundance – the belief that we can produce what is needed - and MORE - to meet the demands of tomorrow. Together, we can build a Colorado where government respects your rights, spends your tax dollars wisely, empowers communities to solve problems, and delivers results that improve people's lives.

I believe Colorado's future won't be built by an ineffective, overly intrusive government. It will be built by millions of Coloradans strengthening their communities, solving problems together, and proving that when government gets the incentives right, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

About Wayne Harlos

Wayne Harlos is a real estate agent and former chairman of the Libertarian Party of Colorado. Solution-oriented and a proven team builder, Harlos brings the type of experience well-suited to the role of lieutenant governor.

A Colorado native, Wayne has seen the state considerably during his life, but he believes that our best days are ahead of us.

“I live on the I-25 corridor and like to spend my free time in the wilderness. I love this state, and I believe we will accomplish a great deal if we learn to respect one another and offer a little grace and understanding when it comes to the unique circumstances individual communities face. Part of that understanding is accepting that the best solutions are found closer to home rather than at the state capital.”

Wayne is a proud father of two children, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Caryn Ann.
